All Provider and Industry Partner Members (and your staff) are invited to join us for a webinar with GBI. GSLA is partnering with GBI for the Crimes Against Disabled Adults, and Elderly REACT training. In our roles in Senior Living, we often are the first to notice elder abuse in its many forms.
This one-hour REACT training is for mandated reporters in Georgia. It covers the basic types of elder and disabled adult abuse, Georgia laws on mandated reporting, and reporting resources.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the different types of elder abuse
- Understand the role of Adult Protective Services and Healthcare Facility Regulation Division
- Identify how to report suspected elder abuse

Meet the Speaker:

David Blake is a Forensic Specialist with the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Aging Services Forensic Special Initiatives Unit (FSIU) and a member of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crimes Against the Disabled and Elderly (CADE) Task Force. Before joining DHS in 2010, Mr. Blake served with the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office as the chief investigator over the White-Collar Crime Unit. Mr. Blake is an ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), an NW3C Certified Economic Crimes Forensic Examiner (CECFE), and a State of Georgia POST Certified Instructor. He is a co-developer and principal instructor for the Certified At-Risk Adult Crime Tactics Specialist certification course (CACTS).
