GSLA-Georgia Senior Living Association Announces Retirement of President & CEO Genia Ryan
Genia Ryan, CAE, founding President of GSLA-Georgia Senior Living Association, will retire at the end of March after 23 years as President and CEO of the organization.

During her tenure, Ryan established the organization as the voice of senior living in Georgia, leading efforts to educate the public about assisted living and working closely with consumer groups to foster support for the industry. Recycle Home Medical Equipment to Help People With Disabilities
Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) needs your help. Please consider donating used home medical equipment (HME) such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds and bathing aides. FODAC collects HME to be sanitized, refurbished and reissued at little to no cost to those in need. FODAC is a top rated 501(c)(3) charity which provides over 7,000 mobility items to Georgians each year.

Ways you can help:

1. Schedule a pick up if you have 3 or more items.  Call Irma at 770-491-9014 x114.
2. Drop off items at one of 21 partner sites in the state. Download list of FODAC HME drop-off sites.
3. Be a year-round partner! FODAC will provide a small outdoor storage unit at your community/property. This makes it convenient for families or staff to discard unneeded HME items or home goods. (FODAC has its own thrift store.) For assisted living/senior living centers, the unit would help to expedite room turn-over as well as provide a sense of giving back for families looking to donate items. Call Laurie for more information 770-491-9014 x128.

FODAC is the primary source of HME in Georgia when families are uninsured, underinsured, or have prohibitively high deductibles. After receiving HME, FODAC's clients report being able to remain active in school, work, and community; attend doctor’s appointment; prevent falls and injuries; have mobility and independence and a more positive outlook on life. To learn more, go to www.fodac.org.

1. Any resident that is confirmed or presumed to be actively positive for COVID-19 or is exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not participate in outdoor visitation.
