Get Involved
Here are just a few of the many ways that you can get involved and make a difference today!
GSLA Government Affairs Committee
Members are invited to participate in our quarterly committee discussions regarding the Association's year-round advocacy and legislative agendas. The Government Affairs Committee helps to establish legislative goals and positions with Association leadership and disperse information to GSLA members and the public on legislative and regulatory matters. They encourage the financial support of the GSLA PAC. And attend periodic functions or meetings on behalf of GSLA to educate legislators on the needs and positive impact of senior living providers. The Government Affairs committee also helps to plan the annual GSLA Advocacy Day at the Capitol.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please get in touch with us at [email protected].
GSLA Advocacy Day at the Capitol
Plan on joining your colleagues at this GSLA Members Only annual event, where we bring together thought leaders and legislative voices in a panel conversation to discuss what is possible for the senior living industry through strategic legislative involvement. During the breakfast discussion, we talk about the Association's legislative priorities and the impact that they could make on the industry. We then move to the Capitol to meet with our local legislators in pre-set group meetings.
It is a day of camaraderie and connection and is not to be missed. More information can be found on the GSLA Advocacy Day page.
GSLA PAC
The GSLA PAC is a non-partisan fund that supports the advocacy of Georgia's seniors and the senior living industry legislatively. Funded by voluntary contributions, the GSLA PAC supports candidates and officeholders who recognize the value of senior living, understand, and support the GSLA mission, and recognize the need for fair, consistent regulations, business practices, and industry development in Georgia.
More detailed information on the GSLA PAC and how to donate can be found on the GSLA PAC website at www.gasla.org/PAC.
